Sunday

I didn't know what came over me!

Friday morning I was driving my son to school, the girls (one was sick and the other didn't have school) were at home with Daddy who was working from home. I knew I had to get home because I had people coming over and I had to CLEAN.
As I am driving to the school I see the ESTATE SALE sign, but I keep driving and the whole time I was thinking about the sign.... I couldn't drop the kid off fast enough! Next thing I know I am driving down the street that the estate sale is on looking for it! Found it and went in! Oh I saw some pretty stuff! Milk glass, old knick knacks, Halloween, Christmas, old linens, furniture, all at really good prices too!
Anyway, I found a lovely pillow in the living room, 2 ceramic chicken plaques for the kitchen and then I found the craft room! Found lot there, lace, bias tape, old sewing box, cabbage patch clothes, fabric and other sewing stuff! I was in heaven! As I was about to check out I found the little green plate and pitcher, added that to my pile! The women was adding everything up and I mentioned the wooden bench out in front and how much did they want for it. Another women said to sell it to me for, can you believe this, $1.00! I of course said SOLD! Everything including the bench was $21.00.

If you enlarge the picture you can see everything better!
(no plates, I did look!)

My girls were very happy about the doll clothes!

They had dressed their dolls within minutes!
I did get everything clean, banana bread done and a nap before they showed up!

  2. Wow! Fantastic items! I'd say you did VERY well on your little side-track. I am so happy when I hear that someone re-claims items that can be very useful. The girls look happy about it too. :) xxoo

  5. Hi Susan...

Girl, you are so funny but I know exactly where you're coming from...I would have been hurrying to that estate sale too! You found some great bargains and that bench for $1...come on, that was stealing!!! Hehe!!! You sure did make your little girl's day with all of those darling cabbage patch dolls clothes! I didn't know those dolls were still popular...all 3 of my girls had them when they were growing up and they are in their 30's now! So happy for you, my friend...great "treasure finds"!!!

Hope that you're having a super Sunday!
    Warmest wishes,
    Chari
