Catch Up Time!

In the end it doesn't matter how I ended up in Connecticut, but here I am.  My time here has been interesting to say the least. My husband and I have the house here in Connecticut which is up for sale and has been for the past year.

I decided to finally give in and home school my children. I know, what was I thinking? I was thinking and still do think that it was a good idea.  I wanted to spend more time with my children and teach them about being a good person.  Its also convenient when we travel back and forth from Connecticut and Illinois (every 3 months) where my husband and I have a house there and where he currently lives. It can be hard at times but I think we are both dealing with it very well.

I have found here the most amazing Thrift Stores.  Its become almost an addiction. One of my friends claims its going to be my downfall.  Ill post some of my thrift store finds in the coming weeks.  Ill also be posting some home school adventures and hopefully moving and the new house adventures. I'll also post recipes and whatever else is going on at the time.

I'm turning 45 in April and I keep remembering what Richard Briers said in the English comedy The Good Life, It's the quality of life I'm looking for or something like that.

The picture your looking at is Connecticut's Five Mile Point Lighthouse. Every Christmas they have amazing  Christmas lights that you drive through.
