Family Favorite's we have......




This should get you thinking about fall!


Pumpkin Bread
3 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 tsps. soda
1 1/2 tsps. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
2 cups pumpkin
3 cups sugar

Sift together dry ingredients, including sugar, into mixing bowl. Make a "well" in the dry ingredients and add all remaining ingredients. Mix together until smooth. Pour batter into bread loaf pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done.

Store, wrapped, in refrigerator or freeze.

This makes a very large recipe!

  2. My oven is on the fritz right now, but I did buy some pumpkin bread today. Also bought some vanilla bean ice cream. Going to heat a slice of the bread in the microwave and put a dollop of ice cream on it. Mmmm! Now that's what I call an Autumn treat. Thanks for sharing the recipe. Will have to make some as soon as the oven is fixed. xxoo
